Technology nowadays allows us to build houses practically with zero energy consumption, generally called Passive Houses.
In less than a decade, KENAK, the Greek regulation laws for building insulation, will impose this zero-energy consumption for every new building permit.
To achieve a Passive House setting, many special construction methods must be applied, such as High Insulation (our case 4 wall type), or the elimination of thermal bridges, combined with state of the art air-conditioning, ventilation with energy recovery, air tight windows, solar panels etc. PERFECT STEEL HOMES is associated with certified Passive House consultants, and gets all necessary indication in every step of the construction, in order to secure by project delivery a passive house certificate issued by distinguished German or Italian institutions.
Disregarding the solar panel costs, the result of all this concept will be a house that will need 15 kWh per year per square meter electricity consumption for heating and cooling. What this translates to is that all year round, this consumption will cost for a 100 m2 house around 216,00 € based on an aggravated cost of 0,144 €/kWh.
